The Creative Process

Lisa Collins Vidnovic, Artistic Director, and Sarah Mettin, Artistic Associate, cultivate and nurture relationships with a variety of artists. Since the beginning, Metropolitan provided choreographers fertile ground to explore their ideas. We are thrilled to continue these relationships as their creative careers have taken off, and work with other nationally acclaimed choreographers. These are the creative people who are “what’s next” in American dance. Our Company is part of the new work that is taking the art form forward. Metropolitan’s dancers have the unusual opportunity of learning from these accomplished,  creative artists, broadening their knowledge of dance and life. Here’s a partial list of choreographers who’ve set work on our Company. Visit our Repertoire page to see a full list of choreographers.
