More Than Dance

At MET, we believe dance education is about more than learning steps. Dance helps students develop discipline, creativity, musicality, physical awareness, confidence, and self-expression - all while giving them a place to explore and discover the joy of movement. For some students, dance becomes a lifelong passion and a path toward advanced classical ballet training and performance. For others, the confidence, creativity, and skills developed in the studio become something they carry into other areas of their lives. Wherever a dancer's journey leads, we want their experience at MET to be meaningful.

A Joyful Beginning for Young Dancers

For our youngest students, dance begins with exploration, imagination, and play. Our programs for ages 3-6 are designed to introduce children to the joy of movement while building important physical and creative foundations. In Creative Movement (ages 3-4), students explore music, storytelling, and creative exercises while developing coordination, balance, spatial awareness, musicality, and flexibility. As they grow, Pre-Ballet (ages 5-6) builds upon these skills with an introduction to elementary ballet, along with modern dance, improvisation, and folk dance. Students gradually develop greater coordination, musicality, flexibility, and intentionality in their movement.

Most importantly, our youngest dancers learn that dance is a way to create, express, and discover. These early experiences provide a strong foundation for continued dance training while helping children develop confidence and a positive relationship with movement.

A Place to Grow

At MET, dancers can continue developing from their very first class through increasingly advanced levels of training. Our programs provide opportunities to build technique, artistry, discipline, and confidence in a supportive environment. And dance isn't just for children. Our adult offerings provide an opportunity for adults to discover or rediscover the joy of movement, regardless of where they are in their dance journey.
